Deuteronomy 4:25-28:
"After you have had children and grandchildren and have lived in the land a long time--if you then become corrupt and make any kind of idol, doing evil in the eyes of the LORD your God and provoking him to anger, I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live there long but will certainly be destroyed. The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the LORD will drive you. There you will worship man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or eat or smell."

For so long I have worshipped other idols. Materialism, greed, lust, and pride. All tools of Satan. He uses them to try and bring me down each day. Each day he does his job. Many times I fall to his evil schemes. I have no power of him. MY flesh and blood want nothing more than to indulge in worldly pleasures. Its a battle. A war going on in my mind. Thankfully there is something I can do. Praise God there is a way to bring victory and peace into our lives.

Deuteronomy 4:29-31
"But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him. For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath."

What a big "but" God uses there. IF we turn from our sins from where we are, he will forgive us. If we seek him, we will find him. Today I'm making a commitment to seeking God each morning before I start my day. Today is the day. We are not promised tomorrow. I will seek him today. Not half-hearted. Not double-minded. Whole heart, mind and spirit.

Hebrews 11:6 says
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

How does he want to reward me if I seek him? The gift of eternal life! Glory to God! We will live as his children forever.

1 John 3:1 says it clear:
"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!"

I'm going to seek God today. I want what he wants. I will live the way Jesus did. I will clothe myself with the Lord Jesus Christ and never go back to my worldy passions. I'm making a choice to become a man, who loves God. I want him.

I want you. I pray to you today to ask for forgiveness. I want to seek you everyday. Send down your presence I want to see your glory! I praise you oh Lord Almighty. You are good and your love endures forever. Give me a seekers heart. One that loves and serves you only. I pray that you walk with me each day Jesus. Holy spirit guide and instruct me on all your ways. I bind these words in my heart. The words spoken and written down by the King of Kings. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
